Sea kelp is not a plant but rather, an extraordinary type of algae whose antioxidant properties absorb carbon dioxide and reduce ocean acidity. Capturing as much as 20 times more carbon per acre than land forests, solving climate change challenges depends heavily on keeping global kelp forests healthy.
