ARTIST STATEMENT
Consciousness has an essentially subjective character, because perception is different for everyone. What it's like to smell a particular rose - one can only imagine what experiences like this are like for others and how each is perceived in turn. Shared experiences cannot truly be shared at all – only overlaps in our perception of them. An unsettling truth, that speaks to the segregation of pleasure.
