ARTIST STATEMENT
Conflict is a tug-of-war exercise of ideas and point of view; as passions flare, one party’s position is revealed as more unyielding than the other’s, requiring concession and compromise to bridge the widening divide. The more entrenched party might claim victory in staying strong and standing firm, but the wisdom of the peacemaker exposes who truly holds the higher ground.
