LETTING GO OF I
ARTIST STATEMENT
How often the word “I” creeps into conversation, asserting itself with casual disregard for other pronouns. This redirection toward self changes the balance of things. We focus less on what others contribute – being only partially involved in the exchange. Egotism and self-involvement can render even the most sentient of us deaf, dumb, and blind.
